Event: Paul Henry’s Evolving Threats & The Path to Zero Trust: A Security Paradigm Shift

Event Summary:

Join us at Charley’s to hear Paul Henry discuss evolving threats. Across the world, malware is changing the way of life for the foreseeable future, and it’s already having effects on business security too. We will talk about the impact of malware on organizations when it comes to cyber security and the shift to a remote workforce. Additionally, we will discuss the latest updates regarding evolving threats.

For nearly two decades, defenders have fallen into the crowd mentality trap by simply settling on doing the same thing everyone else is doing. Meanwhile, attackers have clearly evolved both in terms of malware delivery vectors and attack methodology. By focusing efforts on the gateway and attempting to outwit attackers’ delivery methods, organizations are leaving themselves woefully exposed. The bottom line today is that if you don’t control your endpoints, then your endpoints will control you.

Our partner BeyondTrust will discuss The Path to Zero Trust: A Security Paradigm Shift

As the traditional perimeter continues to blur, the more zero trust comes into focus. The seismic shift to remote working and shift to the cloud have also accelerated the demise of the traditional perimeter and is driving an increased focus on zero trust. Many organizations have begun to embrace zero trust frameworks and are building these into their security strategies. Understanding your barriers to zero trust will also help you forge the best path to optimally securing your environment, including upgrading from legacy applications and architectures to ones that support zero trust.

In the session we will explore:

  • what zero trust is and how NIST defines it;
  • the goals of zero trust;
  • roadblocks to zero trust; and
  • how privileged access management can help enables zero trust.
