Event: Paul Henry’s Evolving Mobile Threats & SentinelOne’s Dispelling the Mobile Myth

Event Summary:

Join us at Charley’s to hear Paul Henry discuss evolving threats. Across the world, malware is changing the way of life for the foreseeable future, and it’s already having effects on business security too. We will talk about the impact of malware on organizations when it comes to cyber security and the shift to a remote workforce. Additionally, we will discuss the latest updates regarding evolving threats.

For nearly two decades, defenders have fallen into the crowd mentality trap by simply settling on doing the same thing everyone else is doing. Meanwhile, attackers have clearly evolved both in terms of malware delivery vectors and attack methodology. By focusing efforts on the gateway and attempting to outwit attackers’ delivery methods, organizations are leaving themselves woefully exposed. The bottom line today is that if you don’t control your endpoints, then your endpoints will control you.

Our partner, SentinelOne, will discuss Dispelling the Mobile Myth

There is a myth that mobile devices are inherently secure; however, the numbers do not lie – over 35,000,000 pieces of mobile malware have impacted both iOS and Android, along with billions of phishing attempts and countless, and a rising number of zero-day vulnerabilities. With 60% of corporate-connect endpoints being unsecured mobile devices, enterprises must consider the four attack vectors – device, network, application, and phishing – and their impact on the enterprise attack surface. While enterprises have responded with Mobile Device Management, controlling aspects of device configuration, these legacy management tool sets only provide rudimentary jailbreak detection, leaving enterprises with a false sense of security.

In this talk, we will dive into the common mobile threat vectors, presenting real-world exploits, and demonstrating just how simple it can be to gain a toehold into an enterprise’s infrastructure using mobile device exploitation. Attendees will not only learn about the mobile attack vectors exploited by cybercriminals at all levels of experience but how to minimize their enterprise’s mobile attack surface and keep personal and corporate data safe.
