Title of Event: Defending Truth in an Age of Cyber Deception
Event Summary:
Join us at Charley’s for an engaging discussion with G Mark Hardy on how misinformation, disinformation, and cyber-enabled deception are accelerating at unprecedented speed. Distinguishing truth from manipulation has become a critical challenge for organizations and societies alike. This session explores how modern deception operates from state-sponsored information warfare and disinformation campaigns to AI-driven deepfakes and narrative manipulation and why traditional defenses are no longer sufficient.
Drawing on historical examples, contemporary cyber operations, and real-world case studies, this talk examines the mechanisms used to distort, suppress, and amplify false narratives. Attendees will gain practical insight into how deception exploits human and organizational vulnerabilities, and what leaders can do to establish effective “truth operations” that strengthen resilience, improve decision-making, and defend trust in an increasingly deceptive digital landscape.
The event will also feature a session with Cribl on observability and security data management, focused on helping organizations gain flexibility, reduce complexity, and control costs across logs, metrics, events, and traces.
