ClariPath to Display Sleek Armarac in Glass Window Laboratory
Showcase
Thureon Inc., a USA based division of the New Zealand engineering
and IT operations company, today announced that ClariPath
Laboratories, an innovative anatomic pathology lab in Augusta,
Georgia, has purchased two of its flagship Armarac enclosures to
protect servers and network equipment in their new state-of-the-art
laboratory.
"ClariPath's lab process is its number one differentiator,
improving turn-around on clinical testing by 400-500%," said Brett
Moody, LIS (Lab Information Systems) Administrator at ClariPath.
"We needed a great combination of form and function to get the job
done, but also look nice for client tours."
ClariPath's new lab features a plate glass window to showcase
their technology to doctors and other clients who tour their
facilities. They chose the Armarac's because it provided them far
more benefits than a standard 4 rail rack enclosure.
"We decided to wall mount the Armarac's which will save us
valuable floor space," said Moody. "The Armarac comes standard with
multiple locks which provide added security by allowing independent
access for administrators and maintenance technicians. We are
confident the Armarac enclosures will add to our reputation as a
state-of-the-art laboratory and will leave a lasting impression on
our clients."
The Armarac units will house all of the lab's application and
connectivity servers with room for expansion. ClariPath is also in
the process of transferring to VMware virtualization desktops,
staying on technology's leading edge to accelerate lab results for
its clients even more.
The advanced design of Armarac enclosures enable all standard
rack-mount equipment to be located unobtrusively in work areas to
eliminate the need for conventional server rooms. Protecting
critical infrastructure against tampering and able to resist fire
and water damage, the Armarac clamshell exterior unlocks to reveal
a unique hinge system which accommodates 1U and 2U rackmount
equipment. Multi-thread mount extrusions accept industry-standard
server retention screws from all major vendors including HP, IBM,
Sun, Apple and Dell. Armarac enclosures provide the highest level
of structural security against theft or forced entry in an elegant
design available in a choice of colors.
